Every once in a long while, a piece of entertainment is released into the world that rocks you to your core, speaks to your soul, and reminds you why you love the things you love. "Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse" did that to me not once, but twice this past weekend. When Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse released in 2018, I was in college and still discovering parts of my identity. I remember feeling that this was going to be something really special when watching the trailers, and the final product blew me away and soared beyond what my expectations of a film; animation; and deep, passionate story telling could be. A new love was formed. It had quickly become a favorite of mine, but it wasn't immediately apparent the profound effect it would have on me as I began to form the second layer of my identity, where Jurassic Park and Disneyland helped to mold the first.Across the Spider-Verse, in a way, was the kiln to the clay of Into the Spider-Verse. It reminded me why I love film, why I love animation, music, story telling, comedy, tragedy, art, theater, Spider-Man, and so many other things in between. The feeling each of those films gives me is something I will cherish forever. In a time in my life where I am building experience in my dream career and starting life in a new city, things are definitely challenging, and I do the best I can to make the most of it as I navigate through this new chapter of life . The Spider-Verse films have been constant reminders of what I love, and I can't thank Sony Pictures Animation enough for not being afraid to push the boundaries, let your passion show in your work, and let your imagination run free. It has inspired me time and time again; and pushed me to work even harder to tell the best stories I can; and to never, EVER be ashamed of who I am. I had no idea life would guide me to the place I am today, but I'm happy I've taken the risks to get there. After all... what is life, but a leap of faith?#spiderman #spiderverse #inspiration #film #animation #storytelling

Why, oh why?!How is this LinkedIn material? Keep reading. Also, it's Saturday... so it has to simple right? It's daring to go somewhere else as a business. Pushing the envelope to another level. Real art. Sony Pictures Entertainment went to town.3 years in the making, 1.5 million hours of animation and a 100 million USD invested into the project. It is the best animation movie I have ever seen. Moved me through a wide range of emotions while keeping me highly entertained.I have never disclosed it on my LinkedIn, but I am a movie junkie and extremely critical when it comes to quality.Business involves risks. To me, that was a good example. However, it was also a good example of innovation, which started with the first animation movie of the series.Good news, they're on their way to a 110-120m box office opening week end, so they'll be more than okay 😉 #business #innovation #art #animation #entertainment #spidermanacrossthespiderverse #quality

Sony Pictures Entertainment Spider-Man Across The Spider-Verse was an excellent story of character(s) development written through sustainable film production. Sustainable film production is the concept of film production with particular concern for environmental, economic, and social issues. One of the film industry's [and one of my :)] most loved characters, "Miles Morales" from Brooklyn, NY and the expanded global cast take us on a journey through layers of storytelling that raise awareness on relatable issues in life. The relatable perspectives are expressed from young teens, adults, and fictional superhero characters around:Diversity, Family, Work, & LifeBeing a Teenager/Young adultBeing an adult living in society with personal and professional regrets who still has time to make a differencePersonal and professional developmentDoing what others expect verses what you wantLove & TrustDeception & GuiltFriendship & LoyaltyGreed, Fear, Adventure, & FunThis is a comprehensive list but was fulfilling to discover. If you are a Marvel Comic lover like me who follows Spider-Man+ stories, you will be amazed at how this sequel continues to transform. If you are newer to this Marvel story and may not know all the history, I believe you will be able to discern the messages and relate to the simplified complexity of real life in this animated film production. This film introduces us to significant communities that are new to some and familiar to others that make a huge impact in the Multiverse world and life of these characters. Your experience in downloading everything may vary. What do I mean by vary? For me, I appreciate when there are multiple things going on at once in a movie with layered stories and key things happening simultaneously (visual & verbal). To the contrary, some people find that confusing and overwhelming. I found the advanced use of technology through digital animation, the production artist content, and diverse cast (from NA to APAC+) who told the creative multiverse story outstanding. The multiverse is the hypothetical set of all universes. Together, these universes are presumed to comprise everything that exists: the entirety of space, time, matter, energy, information, and the physical laws and constants that describe them. The writers, producers, actors, and musicians (who created the soundtrack) top performed in this film achieving a multiverse animated wonder. What transferable lessons does this movie offer? There are diverse heroes (talent / markets) around us every day that we may notice and relate to and some we may not. It's never too late to discover new talent sources, societal demands, and ways to respond that produce increased loyalty, influence, and growth. Why does it matter?Being able to recognize talent, new markets, and effectively communicate your competitive solutions in a differentiated way can catapult business, brand, and profitability.https://lnkd.in/ed2GrNG4

👨👦👦 Went to watch the new Marvel Studios, "Spider-Man: Across The Spiderverse" yesterday (along with all my younger cousins, yay, quality family time) 👨👦👦 A particular scene struck me. One at the beginning sequence of the movie (no spoiler, just one scene that was a source of inspiration). It was where Gwen Stacy (Ghost Spider) is met with an immense challenge, one where she takes a moment to visualise herself drumming with great intensity, proceeding to then "string" (Spider Web ahem) together an impeccable and flawless sequence of capturing the antagonist, saving civilians and collaborating with two other team members while doing so. Apart from this just being visually stunning, the scene was immensely relatable. As humans, the answer to some of our deepest seated challenges lie in our confidence and perception of the situation. Many a time, I visualise the moments that I had to perform at varsity level in basketball or any sport that had some stakes pegged behind it. I remember further the practice and trying out different variations of moves or combinations till it felt natural. A majority of our accomplishments stem from a place of being a challenge initially. Comforting ourselves and reassuring on what we have done prior may give you a much needed "pick me up" to face things head on. ⬇ Comment a time where you looked back and applied that motivation! ⬇ P.S. go watch the movie, it's a great visual experience, storyline pretty decent too!#experience #selfimprovement #marvelstudios #teamwork #visualization #confidence
