In our enchanting world of early education, we're weaving a magical tapestry of manners and kindness. At KA- The Preschool , the magical words "I am sorry," "Thank you," "Please," and "Excuse me" hold the key to a harmonious and joyful learning environment. But why are these magic words important during early education?โจ Saying "I am sorry": Little hearts learn the power of empathy and understanding, fostering a culture of compassion.๐ Expressing "Thank you": Gratitude becomes a daily practice, cultivating a positive atmosphere where appreciation blooms.๐ Using "Please": The magic wand for collaborative play, teaching our tiny learners the art of making requests with kindness.๐ "Excuse me" Adventures: Nurturing courteous communication, our little explorers navigate their world with politeness. As we strive to provide the best for our future generation, we would love your support on this wonderful journey. Let's make these special words not just the basis of education, but also of building good character. By teaching these words and their meanings at home, we can help children understand the importance of being polite and make it a habit throughout their school experience. Together, let's create a community where the magic of politeness shines brightly! ๐๐ซโจKA- The Preschool #knowledge #kidsactivities #PrePrimaryMagic #PolitenessMatters #EarlyEducationMagic ๐งโ๏ธ๐

Engaging stories are a powerful tool in kindergartens to spark curiosity and foster a love for learning among young children. These stories take children on imaginative adventures, introducing them to new concepts and ideas in a fun and relatable way. Whether it's through the journey of a curious caterpillar exploring a garden, a bear embarking on a forest adventure, or a young astronaut dreaming of space travel, these tales captivate children's imaginations. They not only entertain but also teach valuable lessons about the natural world, creativity, teamwork, and problem-solving. By weaving educational content into captivating narratives, kindergartens can inspire a lifelong curiosity and enthusiasm for learning in their students.

Summer School!Jingles here, jingles there about summer school camp from schools, churches, communities, organizations etc.Beautiful! It is important that children are engaged with activities that meet their needs and developmental milestones at all times. However, as teachers, parents, caregivers etc what should summer school be like?1. Please, Share your thoughts in the comment section!Someone posted, I listened. He said why would schools give children summer holidays and in less than three weeks want them back for summer school to learn the norm, like he said (abc's, 123's etc) academics basically. He said it should not be, he recommended that summer school/camp should be for activities that are novel to the children, such as swimming, basketball, crocheting etc.Terrific recommendation!I agree with his recommendation but will like to say though subject to scrutiny that academics should not be out at all but introduced in more fun and captivating ways inclusive of many more activities but indoor/outdoor to what he has recommended above.More so, children have incredible brains with a lot of prunning and changes going on. They still need practice to gain mastery of what they had learnt the previous term. Effective teaching and deeper learning depends on the teacher and what fun ways he/she will employ to make the child learn and internalize well enough during the summer holidays.I observe, not all though, but quite a few children resume school for the new term forgetting if not all but a lot of what they had been taught the previous term. Well, it's no big deal for a good teacher. Take the child back to the concepts and bring him/her forth to where he/she should be. I would recommend a holistic and engaging summer school/camp that will meet the needs of the child greatly.#summer school#Early years teachers#Montessori Enthusiast #Online tutor

I have learnt.......๐คOne of my pupil exclaimed, "Miss Temmy, I helped mum to ... (pausing to formulate her thoughts while I was waiting patiently) ...sweep the floor over the weekend!" I responded with enthusiasm, "Wow, that's amazing!"That moment highlighted the importance of patience to me, as my student took her time to express herself effectively. Formerly, I would have intercepted that sentence just to make sure we finish up that discussion because I was so impatient. And then I remembered, when I was offered a role as an early years educator, having no prior experience teaching young learners. However, I embraced the opportunity with a willingness to learn.Just two weeks into the role, my head of Nursery commended my progress, saying, "Temmy, you've learned so quickly, and I'm impressed!" While I appreciated her kind words, I realized that the experience had taught me far more than just teaching techniques. Working with early years learners has instilled in me the value of patience, which I now apply in various aspects of my life.Through this experience of being an early years educator, I have learnt;๐to remain calm and composed in challenging situations.๐ Adapting to individual learning paces.๐Understanding and appreciating the unique characteristics of young learners.๐Acknowledging and celebrating my learners efforts at every stage of learning.I've come to recognize that teaching is not only about imparting knowledge but also about personal growth and self-improvement.What have you learnt through your teaching experiences that applies to other areas of your life?I will love to hear you. Let's connect.

At Newberry House, our mission is to showcase what is possible through quality, authentic Montessori and Cambridge International Education, within a healthy environment and through real-life learning experiences.Just as important, however, is embedding the values that summarise who we are at Newberry - authenticity, grace and courtesy and lifelong learning. - Authenticity is another word for genuine. At Newberry, we constantly strive to implement authentic Montessori and Cambridge education, as well as share who we are in a real way. - Grace and courtesy is one of the hallmarks of authentic Montessori education. This is realising that we are not perfect, extending grace toward one another and, in the spirit of constant improvement, offering to help where we can. Grace and courtesy does not necessarily mean agreement, but respecting others and always treating them with dignity, even if we have different points of view.- Lifelong learning speaks to the process of continual learning and improvement. Being an academic institution does not automatically make one a learning institution. We acknowledge that although we have a lot to celebrate, we do not always get things right the first time. We do, however, seek to constantly learn and improve where we can.The process of not being afraid to try new things, getting feedback, reflecting and then making adjustments where necessary is one of the most valuable skills today for both our learners and for us as a community. These three values lie at the heart of who we are at Newberry; values which we believe are able to create lasting change in our community and further afield.Written by Alistair Green(Head of Newberry House)#NewberryHouse #NewberryEducation #NewberryEnvironment #NewberryExperience #authenticity #graceandcourtesy #lifelonglearningPhoto credit: https://lnkd.in/dMQjutwW
